SaaS product development

We build SaaS products for founders and for companies that want to turn an internal tool or industry knowledge into software they can sell. Product thinking, multi-tenant architecture and the less glamorous parts, like payments and permissions, done properly from the start.

What makes SaaS different

A SaaS product serves many customers from a single codebase. That brings requirements a single-company application doesn't have: data separation between customers, subscriptions, self-service sign-up, usage limits, audit logs and updates that don't break anything. Solving them early is much cheaper than adding them later.

The structure of a SaaS
  1. Many customers

Each with their own account, team and settings.

  2. One product

One codebase, updates for everyone at once.

  3. Identity and billing

    Access, plans and invoicing handled.

  4. Isolated data

Each customer's data, only for that customer.

What building a SaaS includes

  • Product definition

Who pays, why, and which features are needed to prove it. We help you cut down the first version.

  • Multi-tenant architecture

Isolated data, per-customer configuration and a model that holds from ten customers to thousands.

  • Accounts and permissions

Sign-up, single sign-on for larger customers, roles and team management.

  • Billing

Subscriptions, plans, free trials, invoices and usage metering through a payment provider.

  • Admin and metrics

Internal tools to support customers and see how the product is used.

Who it's for

  • Founders who know an industry well and need a technical partner to build the product
  • Companies with an internal tool other businesses would pay for
  • SaaS teams that need extra capacity for a large module or a rebuild
  • Ideas with nobody lined up to talk to potential customers: we'll suggest validating first

From idea to first paying customers

  1. Shape

Define the problem, the first customer type and the minimum product that proves value.

  2. MVP

A real, solid first version you can keep building on.

  3. Launch

Sign-up, billing and monitoring ready for the first customers.

  4. Iterate

Decide what to build next using real usage data and feedback.

Frequently asked questions

Should the MVP be built fast and rebuilt later?

Usually not. A well-scoped MVP can be small and still built on a foundation that lasts. Features get cut but quality stays, so your first customers don't force a rebuild.

Do you work for equity?

Our usual model is paid projects. We can discuss other arrangements in specific cases, but we don't build for equity alone.

Do you stay on after launch?

We can continue as your product team while you grow or until you have your own.

What's holding you back?

A process, a product idea, a device, a set of systems that should talk to each other. A few lines are enough to get started.
