Guide
How to write a quote that gets accepted
A good quote is easy to read: clear line items, quantities, unit prices, totals with and without VAT, and a validity period. If the client has to call you to understand it, it has already lost momentum.
Break the work into parts the client can understand and compare. A single "Complete service: €4,800" raises more questions than five well-explained lines.
Validity and terms
Always state how many days the price is valid (15 or 30 is typical) and the basic terms: payment method, delivery times and what is not included. It avoids surprises halfway through the job.
From quote to invoice
Once the client accepts, you can generate the invoice with the same items in the invoice generator. Your issuer details are saved in your browser, so you will not have to type them again.
How it works
- Fill in your details and your client's.
- Add the items, VAT, validity and terms.
- Download the quote as PDF.
Frequently asked questions
What should a quote include?
Your details and the client's, number and date, a detailed description of each item with its price, taxes, total, validity period and terms (delivery times, payment method, what's not included).
Is an accepted quote legally binding?
A quote accepted by the client can have the value of a contract. That's why it's worth detailing what's included, timelines and payment terms.
Are my quotes stored?
No. The PDF is created in your browser. Only your issuer details are remembered in this browser.
Do you do this every day?
If you merge documents, prepare invoices or copy data between programs every day, that can be automated, and it's what we do.
